Randwick City Council: Winning the Bid to Host ALGWA 2028

Randwick City Council wanted to host the 2028 Australian Local Government Women’s Association NSW Conference. To win it, they had to compete against other LGAs across the state, all pitching for the same host spot.

We produced the bid video that carried their pitch. The brief was simple. Show why Randwick was the right place to bring hundreds of delegates together, celebrate women in local government, and put on a conference people would remember. We built the video around Randwick’s coastline, its community, and the council’s own commitment to advancing women in leadership.

The bid was presented at the 2026 ALGWA Conference in Blacktown, in front of the LGAs they were up against.

Randwick won.

In 2028, they’ll host the conference, bringing delegates from across NSW to the city and putting Randwick on the state stage as a leader in inclusive, forward-thinking local government.
