Medicare Mental Health Centres: A Rebrand Across Sydney
These centres were known as Head to Health. As part of a national government initiative, they became Medicare Mental Health Centres, part of a growing network spread across Sydney and beyond, including Liverpool, Parramatta, Canterbury, Penrith, Blacktown, Campbelltown, Bondi and Ryde.
The service itself stayed the same. Free, walk-in mental health support, no referral, no appointment, no Medicare card needed. What had to change was how people recognised and trusted the new name across every location.
We worked on the video content to support that shift. Each centre needed to feel like part of one connected network while still speaking to its own local community. We focused on the people behind the service, the clinicians, the peer support workers, the everyday moments of someone walking through the door and being met with care.
